A single woman has power; Several women together have an impact

Traditionally we have been taught to be competitive with each other. But by lifting each other up and channeling the power of collaboration, we're managing to change the equation and, besides, we're having a lot more fun along the way.

We need to reverse the stereotype that women don't support other women . There is research showing that the female sector in particular benefits more from collaboration than competition between us.

An example is the result obtained in a study carried out by the Harvard Business Review which reveals that, although both men and women benefit from having a network of well-connected peers in different groups, women who also have an intimate circle of contacts close female associates are more likely to obtain executive positions with greater authority and higher pay.

The reason? Women trying to rise to leadership face cultural and corporate obstacles to their advancement , such as unconscious bias. The study suggests that one way to overcome some of these obstacles is to establish close connections with other women, who can share their own experiences, from demanding your worth, to bringing your unique talents to the forefront of leadership.
